Went to a flea market today down on the coast looking for bikes when something caught my eye. I was looking in one area when I noticed there was a trailer full of car parts. Upon further inspection I saw one of these and asked if he had all four. He said he did and after getting them all out from under a bunch of junk he told me he wanted $100 for them. I only had $90 in cash so he took it.
When I saw them my heart started beating faster and I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. These are the wheels I have wanted for my car from the day I bought it, except in black. They need to be restored so I will restore them and paint them black.
They are 15’s I would prefer 16’s but I am happy with my flee market meshes!!!

I have already been offered double of what I paid for them. lol I don't think the people selling them knew what they were.

Sweet 8lb 6oz baby jesus have you put a ton of work into this car. It is very lucky to have ended up in your hands. Congrats on all the progress to date and I have no doubt the end result is going to be phenomenal. Rock on my 4-I brother! ;)

Fine tuning the body with some body glaze and allot of sanding. Tomorrow I will respray a few spots where I sanded through the primer with primer sealer and hopefully Saturday I will spray the high build primer.

Looking great rkuhn, All I've got to say, If I was a stray Foxbody in need of a good home I wood be finding your house real quick. It's nice to seen someone going to the lengths you have to bring one back to life. Especially being an older pre 87 as not many do. This is a great picture thread of your build. I really appretiate the detailed pic's you post of your progress.

keep up the good work.... undefined

Block sanded the high build primer with 80 grit, then 180, 220, 400, 600 then painted her the other day. It didn't turn out perfect but I'm very happy with the result!

In my "my fox is dead" thread I went on a bit of a rant on how we should be preserving foxes. And I don't think there is a person more committed to tht cause around here then you. Kudos on the build, it's coming along great!!!

Thanks!!!

Reshot the clear today!!! It came out pretty good but far from perfect. Has some orange peal on the quarters and one small run. Should be able to wet sand and buff it out.
