Smoking C4

I have a completely rebuilt 1979 C4 trans. It shifts perfect and hasn't given me any trouble until I floor it and get the RPM's up. When I do that it smokes bad and sprays transmission fluid out, but I can't tell where from. Any ideas or suggestions?

I have very little experience with auto transmissions, but i believe a bad modulator valve can cause the issues you're describing.
