Removing one piece headlights and going backt to factory 3 piece

Hey everyone.. looking for some help. i bought a 1989 5.0 and it came with one piece headlights… not knocking them as it ones preference but, not for me… anyways, i want to go back to the original 3 piece lights however im not sure if anything needs to be changed other than pulling out the bulbs/wires and placing them in the 3 piece lights.
i seen on LMR that there was soldering required for the one piece lights so wanted to see if i need to remove it or whats the deal. any help will be great!
