I'm going to replace my speedo cable and the speed sensor in order to stop the needle from jumping around on me. I want to use a Ford/Motorcraft speed sensor. The one at LateModelRestoration says it is only for a manual transmission. I have been told there is no difference between the manual and automatic speed sensors.
Then I found a Motorcraft unit http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1991/ford/mustang/body_electrical/speedometer_transmitter.html
and it references multiple part numbers. Can someone tell me if there is a different speed sensor for autos and manuals?
