Picked up a top convertible boot. Not the easiest to put on. Is there a pattern or trick to make the job easier.

87 Top Boot Install

Picked up a top convertible boot. Not the easiest to put on. Is there a pattern or trick to make the job easier.

Start in the middle and work outward. First put the channel in at the top of the seat, then the channel at the front of the trunk lid, then the side channels and the snaps last. I'm pretty sure that's how I used to put the one on when my dad had his 84 convertible. Of course that was 93-94, lol it's been a while. You'll get the hang of it eventually. Now you need some pony's or cobra's on it.

Did you get the hang of installing your boot? I was cleaning my garage today and found the owners manual from my old 93 lx. Ford's instructions are exactly as I stated them in my previous post.
