408 stock hood clearance

New member, 1st stupid question. I am placing a stroked 351/408 into a 93 gt. Can I still run a stock hood with AJE K member and 1/2” shims? I know the deck height is 3/4” higher than the 302. Has anyone encountered this and were able to solve any problems?

I remember a fella used engine drop mounts.
I don't remember what oil pan.

His setup was carbed.

Other than what I mentioned earlier... I'm almost confident your setup would perform better with an 850 series 4150, single plane intake, 5" tall air cleaner.
I understand you didn't ask but, if you ever do switch... Remember I mentioned it
