EGR delete

what is the benefit of deleting the egr. I was just wondering, because I would like to clean the firewall up . I would like to elimnate everthing that i don't need. anyone have a suggestion on this matter. The only thing on the car is the heater, other stuff taking off.

That's all it does, cleaner look. No horsepower or fuel economy gains.
