Hi, I am new to owning a foxbody mustang. I love the car so dearly however when i bought it, it had a passenger side lifter tick. I replaced the lifters. Put everything back together and tick is gone. I got it running except I had a vacuum leak because the driver side lower plenum gasket moved when I put it back on. Fixed the gaskets and everything yesterday made sure worked very slow to do it correctly. But now the vehicle wont start. It cranks but wont turn over. Im so frustrated because I cant figure it out. Does anyone have any advice at all? Im open to any suggestions. Oh I also have code 85 and 81.

Welcome to Foxbody ownership! Don’t get too frustrated—you’re probably closer than you think. Since the car was running after the lifter replacement and stopped starting after you went back in to fix the intake gasket, I would first assume something got disconnected, moved, or disturbed during reassembly.

1st check for Spark
2nd listen for the fuel pump to come on.

Also let us know what engine 5.0 or 2.3, Mass Air or Speed Density, and whether you removed/moved the distributor.
