Okay so I can't remember if its 5.0 Mustang or MM&FF that is doing this, but in about a week there will be a special Fox only Issue released for sale. Should be awesome, since for the last 3 years our beloved foxes have hit the back burner in these magazines with the rise of the coyote motor.

There was an issue out out like this before, I think last year from the same magazine. It should be hitting the newsstands un the coming weeks. And yeah, the coyote (the new 5.0) has the spotlight right now....

Sent from my HTC EVO 3D.

I was going to but then I saw how they kind of disappeared for a while and didn't want to waste the money on magazines I wouldn't get lol

anyone else subscribed to the relatively new foxbody mustang mag? I just did
I did bro! The magazine is awesome! The only problem I have has been getting it! I have to e-mail them and let them know that I didn't get this months issue or last months issue. They are just getting started so it may have a few bumps in the road.

Ummm, why is that funny? You know not everybody wants a "Blown347".

It's just that u said, "that's what I'm doing minus the stroker and the charger" but I thought the impressiveness of the build came from them making a blown stroker that was smog legal. Of course just a bolt on smog legal build is still cool, but not near as much of a challenge

Ahhhh, I got ya. But obviously if someone does the proper research it's not a challenge at all as they have shown with the article, just need to have mostly CARB approved parts. I am very early in the planning stages (Don't have a car yet), so I am figuring out exactly what parts I can use to pass smog. All I'm looking for is something with more power than stock not an all out racer, it won't even see a track, just a street car. Pretty much so far what I'm thinking is 97-earlier Explorer intake, AFR Renegade 165's, Crane 2030 cam, Crane Cobra 1.7 rr's, BBK 1 5/8" ceramic coated shorties, Magnaflow CA approved hi-flow catted 2 1/2"x-pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder Stainless 2 1/2" cat-back, Aeromotive Stealth 340lph in-tank fp, not sure what MAF, TB and Injectors to use at this point. But I have time, lol.

Talk to foxbodymustangs, he just built his daily driver, WICKDFOX, and i'm sure he could shed some light on what can pass smog. he built a 347, but still.

I was looking at that thread tonight, I have been on Corral.net for almost a year and a half and have read numerous threads regarding passing smog. Every part I look at I check that it is CARB approved and has the E.O. #. As I have read in the threads and also the article in the mag, obviously CA is the hardest to pass you just have to make sure any aftermarket parts have the proper numbers either stamped on them or you have documentation for them. You need 4 cats in the factory locations according to the article, they added 2 to the BBK x-pipe. As far as cam's go If they are approved they should pass but others not approved have been known to pass. Obviously the tech's can't visually inspect the cam and from what I have read they don't want to pass anything that has been modded probably because if they pass illegal cars and get caught they can be fined or lose their license. So with all that said I'm only going to put approved parts on my car and make sure I have all documentation for said parts. Hopefully I'll have less hassle's that way.
