Hello, I am new to the group and I am looking for some insight on a car I am considering purchasing. This is a 1988 GT convertible out of Chicago. I am wondering what the sprayed on substance is that is located on the inside of the engine bay on both sides. It reminds me of rust-retardant material I had on a car when I was a kid. I don't think it is factory applied. Any other comments about the engine compartment are welcome. Thanks! Jason
