Steering Wheel Alignment

Hi, on my 92, after installing a new steering wheel, I took it out for a drive and noticed the alignment somehow was off. The steering wheel points to about 2 o'clock. How did I mess up the alignment and is it an easy fix or should I bring it in?

With the steering wheel off, there is a factory note saying something about re-centering the wheel but I could not figure out how to make that happen.

One sure way is to have both front wheels and tires parallel and centered, then reinstall steering wheel.

In hindsight, you should have done this before removing the wheel.
