Was glad to come accross this site. I have owned and played with Fox Body Mustangs for the past 20 or so years. I am currently doing a full resto-mod on my 84 T-Top GT Turbo. I also have an 85 Vert as a DD.

Welcome, Thanks for the super detailed pic's. of your GT Turbo. Super job, That will be a very nice fox when completed, Wow I haven't seen an EXP for years since my friend bought his white 82 new.
That really is a great project you have. my project is pretty similar to yours. I look forward to seing your progress photos. Thanks again and welcome to this new great site.

The 84 SVO's had 3.45's also didn't they, then switched to 3.73's either for 85.5 or 85 I think. I also did not realize the 83 EXP's had netted Halo's either unless those were originally from a Mustang.

Not sure about the SVO's but a handful of EXP's came with the netted recaro's. I think they were standard in the turbo cars but not sure???

So those are the Recaro's and not the Articulated Sport Seat's similar to the Escort GT's, T-bird's and Mustang GT's? Correct me if I am wrong but the Recaro's that came in the 79 Pace Car and the 82 GT had a bigger opening to the halo that the sport seats, They also had two post's instead of the one wide post that Ford used on all the Mustang seats through 04, making all the headrest's from 83-04 inter-changeable.

85-86 GT Sport seat:

There is a distinct difference in the headrest's as well as the seat's themselves. 83 GT's were unique in that they changed to the sport seats but retained the netted halo style. Then in 84 they discontinued the netting.

They are not the same as the one's in the Mustang's they are a little smaller. They may be the same seat thats in the Escort I really have no idea but they are referred to as Recaro's I don't have any original documentation on that I'm just going by what others have called them. May be wrong??? Don't know.

Correction on the gear ratio it is 3.45 gears not 3.47. Not sure where the 3.47 came from. Apperantly I am full of all sorts of wrong information. lol

Don't sweat it, happens to the best of us. I even made a mistake once (or at least I thought I did)
