Need help finding my dad's 89 Fox body 5.0

My dad and I went to caffeine and octane today in Atlanta and we started talking about his old mustang. We checked Carfax and it said the car was registered in an area that was flooded, but it never said the car was totaled. The car was in New Orleans and Carfax said the flood happened in 2005. We think it was during hurricane Katrina. My hope is that the car was evacuated and is still out there somewhere. The VIN is 1fabp41e6kf266327 so if anyone has any information or any tips on helping me find it that would be great thanks.
