Ignition Problems 1983 Model

I'm new to the fox body mustang world, and I'm having issues getting my 1983 fox body model to start, I think is a problem with ignition system as the previous owner let it sit for a while, I replaced the spark plugs and distributor, as well as the ignition coil, but I still can't get it to start. It turns over and sounds as though it wants to start but it isn't. It's a 4 cylinder, 2.3L with an electric ignition system, any ideas on what might be the issue

Did you ever get it started? Typically, a shot of staring fluid is the quick and dirty method of determining if the problem is fuel or spark.
