Im having some issues with tail lights. I bought the lx with spliced led tail lights. I have since installed stock lights and everything works except for one thing. When headlights are on the taillights should be turned on and when you break the taillights should get brighter. However no lights are on until you press the brakes. Please help

What happens to the tail lights when you turn the hazards on? I have a 1987 electrical diagram I can share if you think it will help. Let me know.

Are you sure you have the correct bulbs? I believe the is one style with a single element and another with dual elements.
