Falls flat

Just got a 89 5.0 and I noticed when you don't get on the gas it does fine but when you try to get into it it falls flat and sputters and starts missing. I'm thinking Fuel pressure regulator or maybe EGR. Any suggestions or maybe what it might be or usually is? Thanks

Air filter, throttle position sensor, fuel filter, mass airflow sensor dirty. Just a few more you might check.

Suggest check plug wire order...
Then pull plugs and inspect.
If those look good, check initial timing.
If still no problems, rent a fuel pressure indicator and duplicate your condition.

Do these in order, you should find something hopefully.
