E Brake question

I have a 93 Coupe with 03 Cobra brakes front and rear. I don't have an e brake. The guy that I got the car from said all I needed was the rear cables from an sn95 car to complete the e brake setup. I want to know if anyone can verify this. I haven't had a chance to put the car on a lift yet.

You will need to remove your parking brake lever assembly and remove the self adjusting feature by cutting the spring tab, then weld the paw to the handle with the second from the last tooth engaged. The Ford Motorsports directions tell you to remove the spring tab so the spring no longer works. I just cut the whole spring out to avoid the potential rattle. A little time with a grinder is all it took.
Do yourself a favor and install the short cable “BEFORE” you weld the Pawl.

Next drill out the center hole in the rear cable equalizer to the diameter of 11/32, then attach the front parking brake cable Part # M-2810-A (Ford Racing part #) to the modified parking brake lever and then install the drilled out equalizer to the thread end of the cable and install 2- 12mm nuts.

Bolt the entire assembly back into the car and now move onto the rear parking brake cables. You will need 2 rear cables; both cables are the same they’ll fit either the left or right side. 1987-1992 vehicles use Part # M-2809-A (Ford Racing part #) and if you have a 1993 vehicles use Part # F3ZZ-2A635-A (Ford Dealer part #). Install them into the caliper where you will need 2 retaining clips Part # 97413-S56 (Ford Dealer part #) one for each side where the cables goes thru the caliper then route the cable just like your factory drum parking brakes went.

One other bracket you should get is the one that attaches the rear parking brake cables to the rear lower control arms so the cable doesn’t rub the rear tires Part # F5ZZ-2530-AA (Ford Dealer part #), you can also find these on the 95 Mustangs.

Ford Motorsports website and download there M-2300-K installation instructions.

Thank you sir. It's a little more involved than I was told. But still no problem, just will take a little longer. Thanks again
