Distributor Help

Was out today and for like the umpteenth time the ignition module went, again.
Had to have my girl towed home.
Hubby could have fixed it on the spot, had a backup module from last time.
But the tow truck showed up, I pay for AAA so went ahead and had it towed home
in case it wasn't that.
Thank God I was in a parking lot and not on a street when it happened.
Hubby said there is one bolt holding on the distributor.
He put the backup in and she started right up.
OK, sorry for the backstory.
Question is, try and drill out the broken bolt and put a new one in or
put in a new distributor and if so which brand should I go with.
Read in multiple places that new ones, just suck.
Money is not as available as before so any advice would help.
Thanks!

Put a picture up of the broken hardware...
I deal with broken hardware daily, and sometimes I get lucky with extraction.

In my experience, pertronix is a very reliable replacement distributor.

To be on the safer side, I would remove the distributor. Should also provide easy access to the broken hardware too.
Just have him put a piece of tape inline with the rotor before removing... If he already didn't do that. Upon reinstalling, ensure the rotor is pointing at the tape.
