The stock crank pulley bolts are 3/8"-16 x 1", when using an aftermarket balancer with a .950 spacer what length of bolt would you use?

I found my answer, 3/8”-16 x 1 1/2”

That doesn't make sense to me...
Factory starts out with 1.0" bolt length.
You add .950" so now you have 1.950" bolt length.
That's .050" less than 2.0".
Seems you would need at minimum 1 7/8" bolt or cut a 2.0" bolt to 1.950"?
This all depends on what "thread protrusion" you have of course.
