Hey guys so I’ve recently picked up a 1989 GT w/AOD and I was curious on to what was dripping down. So I checked, cleaned her well from the bottom, let her run for a couple of minutes. checked the day after and noticed this. I can’t tell whether it’s my rear main seal or the oil pan/ oil pan gasket. Need some advice guys anything helps. Thanks

That is really looking like a rear seal.

Trans shaft or converter seal leak would be more aft and from the bell, and a tell-tale red appearance.

My first guess would be rear main seal, as well... but don't be too quick to get that deep! A common problem is the seal at the rear of the lower intake (aka "china wall seal"). A tall bead of rtv is usually preferred over the standard gaskets, but if not done carefully, it can cause a leak. Just stick your hand back there and feel around. If that's the culprit, it should be noticeable.
