Stock rear brake ideas?

I have a 1987 Ford Mustang LX 5.0. I am not looking to do a rear brake conversion at this time. My goal is to replace the drum brakes and get the vehicle back on the road!

I am looking for ideas for pads and drums. I know there are basic options at any big box auto parts store, but I was hoping to get members inputs on what they feel is the most bang for the buck in keeping a drum brake rear setup.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I upgraded to 5 lug using 94-95 spindles/brakes, keeping the stock rear drums with no changes to the proportioning valve. The car stops on a dime. I've also heard that the Hawk brake pads are a good upgrade, if everything is staying stock.
