Yes they are. They are .75 longer than the fox axles. They need to accommodate the ABS ring.
The housing is the same as the fox though.

I believe you're right. Housing is same width as fox, but extra overall width comes from axles.

Yes they are longer, have to run 5.5" bs wheels I believe.And these came from a V6 non abs car. I slid my old 4 lug axles in the 94 rear aside from narrowing the track they fit fine in the 7.5 housing.And I have the ranger 7.5 axles in my 8.8 as well.
