M5 transmission

The Can anyone verify if the 88 Mustang LX 5.0 came with a Mazda M5OD transmission. My vin plate shows a #2 where the transmission data

I've never heard of anything other than T5 5 speeds being available for 88.

Thanks. Vin data shows a 2 where trans data should be. Traced that to M5 data tag missing on trans. Buck tag has mbw Borg Warner. Confused
