Good info on Interior colors and Interchange

damn it has the same color interior as mine does.

Sorry for the huge post some good info on interior colors and interchange

Aero nose fox interior by color and years:
'87-'89 has a medium 'smoke' grey, '90-'92 has a tad lighter 'titanium' grey and '93 is 1 year only 'opal' grey. As far as black that came '90-'93 only.
'87-'89 'regatta' blue is different than the '90-'93 grey-blue. Red was the same shade from '87-'93 also having a dark burgandy red in '92-'93 (later red and blue cars also had all colored steering wheels, cluster lids, heater bezels, etc)Tan was '87-'89 only. There was various variations of white vert interiors. All white, white/red, white-blue, white with grey in the 7 up cars and white-black on the '92-'93 feature cars(red, yellow, and all white).

LX cars could be equipped with the sport style bolstered seats like the GT's from '87-'93. The was NEVER leather in ANY coupe/notch from the factory.

Vert door panels are different than coupe/hatch panels(has a longer chrome strip/dew wipe at the top). Tweed interior cars from '87-'90 typically had a removable insert on their panels with matching tweed. Leather cars and 4 banger cars typically had all vinyl door panels. '87-'89 had carpet along the lower section where '90-'93 have the saggy map pockets.

Headliners vary from coupe/notch and hatches, coupes being about 4 inches longer in the rear. '92-'93 have the large 2 button dome light and NO maplight in the front above the mirror like the '87-'91 cars.

Dash boads are specific from'87-'89 then '90-93 due to the fuse box and knee bolster style/location. However you can interchange the dashes between tail column and air bag cars as the dash will still fit, just the plastic around the column is 'clunky' when using '90-'93 dash with the early '87-'89 column.

Front seatbelts are virtually the same in hatches and coupes from '87-'93. Sometimes the alignment slot is off which can be re cut or just bent out of the way. Rear seatbelts in '87-'89 coupe/notch hatch are the same, 90-'93 have shoulder harnesses however hatch will interchange with notch (just swap tower covers) from '90-'93. Verts have different seatbelts all together. '87-'89 fitment and '90-'93 fitment.

Hatch pull out shades also vary fitting '87-'89 and '90-'93.

Rear taillight plastics are the same on hatches '87-'93.

Consoles are specific to the year dash being used. The side attatchment points are narrower on the early '87-'89 console/dash mount. Also the HVAC controls fit based on the year of dash and console. HVAC fitment '87-'89 and smaller dials on the '90-'93.

Clusters from '87-'93 will phyically fit in any dash, however depending on the year of wiring depends on if they will work. '87-'89 clusters only work with those year wiring and '90-'93 only work with that year wiring.
