Thanks guys, are there stil many tidy bodies around? Not too worried about the driveline as most will be swapped out over here, probably with Aussie Falcon stuff

They're still available for a decent price, but they're harder to find here in the rust belt. Out west and in the southern states, you're more likely to find rust-free cars. I had my pace car shipped in from Louisiana (although it was originally from New jersey, but evidently spent most of its life tucked away in a dry garage).

Now is the time to buy one. They've gained in popularity in recent years and more of them are getting out on the road and on the tracks. Careless owners are chopping them up and wrecking them. A guy here in town just totaled a nice hatch. Insurance paid out, so he bought a super clean coupe and totaled it 2 days later.
