Front sway bar upgrade question

I have a 1990 LX convertible.
My question is it advisable to install the sway bar bracket reinforcement plates after upgrading the front sway bar even if I only plan street driving?
Is it worth upgrading the sway bars over the stock ones? ( only street driven but want it to handle well without making the ride TOO harsh)

Yes.
All it takes is a few funky pitched driveways to rip the ARB hardware out of the chassis.
