I am currently building a 88 hatchback Gt "stanger" for the race track. Most say it's easy to do but cost more money than most to get right and get to a competitive level. The car has been in my possession for about a month now and I'm slowly making progress, looking at about a year before I have it running in top form along with my recovery from surgery. We are shooting for 500hp with this build on NOS....Here is what I've done so far.......
302 Windsor eng with a Parker high rise intake manifold
Holley Carburetor, Model 4160, 750 cfm, Square Bore, Manual Choke, 4-Barrel, Vacuum, Dual Inlet, Aluminum, Each
Walbro high pressure inline fuel pump
Mallory Fuel Pressure Regulator MSD-29388
Stripped all interior, wires and all.....
Re-Wired lights, starter, fuel pump etc...with "Painless Performance 6 Switch Panel"
Por15 (rust prevention) on the floor pan, footwell to trunk
Seat brackets for summit racing seat
Battery relocation kit: relocated to rear
Removed fuel tank: replaced with a 10g fuel cell
Some items I have yet to install, waiting on a "good day" body wise to get some things done.....
