Building a budget 302 for street and occasional autocross and maybe a trip or two to a road racing course. Do I really need forged pistons or do the hypereutectic pistons work well? Was looking at Summit's brand of Hyper pistons. Any thoughts?
it's a 302 out of a 79 F150. Flat tappet motor (yes a roller would have been better but this was free), using GT40 heads, a 4bbl intake instead of the EFI, mild cam.
